What is a provisional BER?
A Provisional BER is carried out prior to the commencement of construction of a dwelling. Its main function is to show how a house will comply with Part L of the Building Regulations once it has been constructed.
A provisional BER demonstrating Part L compliance must be completed for all new builds and submitted with commencement notice documentation to your local authority prior to commencing works.
